Architecture sketch

Distributed collectors, central platform.

A lightweight collector lives at each customer site, performs SNMP polling on the local network and forwards normalised metrics to the Power On Australia platform over an outbound TLS tunnel. The central platform handles inventory, alerting, dashboards, reporting and multi-tenant access — operators never need direct network reach into the customer estate.

  • Outbound-only collector connections — no inbound firewall changes
  • Per-customer credential isolation; SNMP community strings never leave the site
  • Central time-series store with retention tiers
  • Webhook + email + SMS alert delivery (SMS roadmap)
